Don Drury is a singer/songwriter who grew up and lives on the coast of Georgia. The influences of the Georgia coast are not only evident in his music, but in every facet of his life. He has earned his living performing live acoustic music throughout the southeastern United States since his college days at The University of Georgia in Athens. Aside from his 6 and 12 string acoustic guitars, he plays the Dobro/Slide Guitar and often accompanies his songs with the harmonica. He enjoys and performs music from every style and genre available, from folk, country, rock, country/rock, blues, jazz, reggae, to Americana and beyond. More than a merely a musician, Don is a consumate entertainer. He draws his audiences into his performances through interacting with them. He achieves this through cleverly timed dialogue and by manipulating or altering song lyrics to add to their enjoyment.
(The Georgia coast is known as "The Golden Isles". These are the barrier islands that protect Georgia's mainland. Don memorialized his beloved Georgia coast in his song "Smile! Golden Isles". An avid outdoors enthusiast, he is also a commercial castnetter.)
